You guessed it - from Thanksgiving right through to the New Year is the roughest time on the body because of the high emotional stress and unstructured eating habits. We can't overload the body and not expect to pay the price! I, like everyone else, slide off the track during the holiday season. Like most of us, if I want to enter the New Year refreshed and energized, the basic plan must involve complete evacuation of our digestive system. Our digestive systems are probably not in the best condition when we enter the festive season. Christmas season is the most toxic time of the the year because of all the mixtures of rich foods and drink, resulting in our systems becoming congested under the extra load. Add reduced activity and diminished sunlight and it's downhill from there. So let's talk about the most important part of the body which will determine whether we feel good during and after the holidays and keep our weight in check successfully . . . the large intestine. Disease is fostered by TOXEMIA . . . toxins build up in our body when we don't have good elimination and the waste basically backs up like a sewer and is re-absorbed into our blood stream, attacking the body's own tissues and organs. The body's weakest points will become burdened and disease will manifest itself in the form of aches in the joints, and then onto tissues and organs. What do we do? My advice to you is to put a program in place NOW to eliminate the waste, support the body's immune functions and re-establish the supply of good bacteria in the bowel.
